Lattice Practices 2021 will be held online

The Lattice Practices workshops provide training in state-of-the-art numerical techniques and the use of computational methods for research in lattice QCD. PhD students and early postdocs are introduced to practical aspects of lattice QCD research, as well as an overview of methods and technologies being used in the field.

The workshop will include tutorial sessions, with lectures and hands-on exercises, as well as shorter lectures to introduce concepts and technologies currently used in lattice QCD research. The list of LAP21 topics and speakers includes:

  • Data analysis (Christian Hoelbling)
  • GPU programming for LQCD (Mathias Wagner)
  • Simulation algorithms (Mattia Dalla Brida)
  • Machine learning (Lena Funcke)
  • Quantum computing (Stefan Kühn)
  • Scale setting (Mattia Bruno)
